Are You My BFF?

Ava came over to play with Aubree (actually Ava's daddy came to play PS3 with Aubree's daddy!) and she was super excited to see her! The last few times they have been together, one of them has been sleeping, or Aubree was just too young to even acknowledge Ava. This time was different though. Ava is now walking and Aubree is very aware of everything and everyone. We put Aubree in her activity chair and Ava would walk right up to her. Aubree's chair bounces up and down so when Ava would come to Aubree, she would get really excited and start bouncing around. At one time, Aubree reached out for Ava and they were holding hands! Too cute! We hope they get along as well as they get older!!

And then things got ugly....Aubree discovered that her pacifier had been swiped!

I added this one just because it was so darn sweet. She is 100% daddy's girl!

5 Months Old Already!

You never really know just how fast times flies until you have a baby growing up right before your very eyes! Aubree is 5 months old already! She is so much fun and brightens our day from the moment she wakes up and smiles at us. JD and I sit here and wonder sometimes what we used to do with our time. I have determined that we were complete bums!

Well, this weekend was great! We went to Yoakum to visit Aubrees Great Granny and stopped by to see her Great Great Grandma (Tatarabuela....my Granny taught me that)too! And of course in true Grandma fashion, the first thing we were asked by Great Great Grandma was (in spanish) "is she cold?" Things just wouldn't be the same if we weren't asked "is she cold?" or "are her stocks too tight?"

Our Punkin Wunkin, Aubree Chelle, Sunshine, Miss Aubree, the list of names goes on and on! What a big girl!

She recently started giggling and Great Granny had her going!

She even managed to squeeze in a little snooze with Uncle Mike!

Our New Purchase

We are the proud new owners of 2 acres in Northcrest Ranch! We went back and forth for a few months until finally making an offer and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Hopefully, if all goes according to plan, we will have a house built and ready to move into by the end of 2011. We are not in a hurry.....as you can tell! We are just excited to be more than 5 feet away from our neighbors!

We have some clearing to do but glad that we will be able to save some of the larger trees for the yard

The Sweetest Serenade

This evening, Aubree was in awe of her daddy! JD brought out his guitar and put her in front of him in her bouncy seat and she just starred at him. She loved it! Now that she is so alert, he actually had her attention for quite a while. She just sat back and enjoyed her personal show......too cute! And it was completely coincidental that she was wearing her guitar shirt!
