What a Fun Day!

Aubree had a great first trip to the zoo last week. We could not have asked for better weather and Aubree was such a good girl all day long. She loved seeing the animals although she is still a little young to get too excited about them. We plan on taking her back towards the end of the summer when she is bigger and doesn't stare at her stroller all day! Yes....she loved checking out the wheels on her ride! Here are a few pics of our day. There were too many to post so I made a slide show!

She's With the Band!!

Aubree heard her daddy and the band for the first time on Saturday. It was such a great show! So many people were there to check out RTR. Luckily the weather was nice and Aubree got to wear the dress I have had for her since I was 5 months pregnant! She looked super cute if I may say so myself! We can't wait until she is walking around next year and can get a little closer to the stage to actually see her daddy. It was still a little loud for her and Cruz so we stayed a little further back so that they wouldn't get too frightened. All things considered, with the loud music and large crowds, they both did really well.

Some friends (Vero, Annie, Nancy, and Ameris) even came in to town to visit and see RTR! We hadn't seen Nancy and Annie since my baby shower. It was great to see all of them again!

Aubree and Cruz Meet Again

This weekend was wonderful! All of my family (even my Granny!) came to town to watch RTR play at the Crawfish Fest. Rose, Nathan, and Cruz even came in from Louisiana. Its always good to see the Rogers family! Cruz is such a good baby. Its so cute to see the two of them together. They stare at one another like they have never seen a baby before! Super cute cousins!!

Six Months Old Already!!!

Time flies when you are having fun! That is exactly how I would describe these last six months of our lives.....fun. Aubree has brought so much joy to JD and I that we don't know what we ever did without her. She has made us happier than we ever knew or imagined possible. Is there a word greater than love??? We more than love this little girl!!!

How lucky are we to get to wake up to this smiling face every morning?

Bluebonets, Bluebonnets, and more Bluebonnets!

Just wanted to share Aubree's first pictures in the bluebonnets. Truthfully it was my first picture in the bluebonnets too! Nothing like a baby to make you do things you've never

done before!

What a sweet girl.....she loves to touch faces! She does it in such a loving way too!

I wonder if she knows that her mommy does it to her when she is sleeping??

At times, she would not even smile because she was so distracted

by the flowers! All she wanted to do was eat them!

I Thought All Kids Liked Bananas?!

Well, apparently all kids do not like bananas. At least mine doesn't! For some reason I was hesitant about giving them to her and I guess I now know why. This is only the second fruit we have tried and the first (pears) didn't go over so well either. Is it possible that she doesn't like sweets? Nah! She literally gagged at the pears and gagged even more with the bananas. Maybe she will learn to like them later. I would have never thought that my child would love green beans and not like pears or bananas! If you don't have a mental picture of how the gagging went....here are real pictures of the attempt at bananas.

This was her actually gagging and spitting out the food. She had orange around her mouth because she had just eaten carrots.

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful first Easter with Aubree. Saturday we went to Ava's 1st birthday party and then we were off to visit JD's family at Lake Buchanan. We did not arrive until late Saturday evening but we made it just in time for Aubree to see everyone. Aubree had never met some of her family on JD's side so that was an extra special addition to Easter weekend. We were also able to take tons of pictures in the bluebonnets! I will post those pics soon!
