Happy 1st Fathers Day!

JD now knows the joy of being able to celebrate Fathers Day as an actual father rather than a son or grandson. He loved every minute of it too! JD has been the best daddy any little girl could ask for. Sometimes I can't believe that I was ever worried about whether he would know how to take care of a baby (as though any of us really "know"), much less a little girl! Aubree is so lucky to have a daddy that loves her with every fiber of his being and adores every move she makes. To this day, eight months later, he still looks at her daily and tells me how lucky we are and how absolutely adorable she is. I can not wait to watch the bond between the two loves of my life grow stronger and stronger with each passing day.
The smile on her face says it all!!! She loves her daddy!

The best Fathers Day gift ever! This was from JD's dad, mom, and sister. See the super cute baby girl on the bottom of the apron?!

8 Months Old!

My precious girl is now 8 months old! I can not believe it. Although I wish she could stay a baby forever, I love seeing her grow up and watching her personality unfold before my eyes. She is still very observant (or MiMi as I call it), loves attention, and loves to make us laugh with her new silly face. Her newest thing is giving kisses! Mostly to pictures in books or her baby dolls, but regardless...she does give kisses! One thing she is not doing is crawling. She has absolutely no desire to be mobile! Maybe things will change at her 9 month old update!

She's so Awesome!

Today we were all in the kitchen together as I was cooking dinner and JD looked at Aubree and said "She's so awesome!" I 100% agreed and decided that I would blog tonight and use that as the title because its true. She never ceases to amaze us. We still stare at her as if she were 7 days old rather than 7 months! We are so lucky to have such an amazing little one! Here are some pics we took of her trying out some new food and drinking out of her big girl cup.
It took her a couple of tries to get used to the faster flow of the cup
but shes getting the hang of it. Still a little unsure how to tilt it all the way back though.

This was our first attempt at chicken noodle! She is still unsure about it. She was telling us to "give me a minute to think about this!"

Nope.....should have went with her instincts! Chicken noodle was not a big hit!
