Fun in the Sun

Last weekend, we decided to get away with our little angel before we become a family of 4. Aubree loves to have her mommy and daddy to herself and that is exactly what the weekend was about. We rented a beach house and just lounged the weekend away. The only times we left the house was to go on the beach! It was perfect. We filled our time with projects, play dough, making snacks, and cooking dinners together. Aubree even made us pizza all by herself one night. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend!

About to Pop!

The greatest group of ladies gave me the cutest shower ever (aside from the one for Aubree of course)! The theme of the shower was "about to pop" and it was super creative and original! The cake was amazing and made by none other than Leslie. Is the popcorn on the cake the cutest or what? She made them with marshmallows! They also had all kinds of popcorn flavors for everyone to choose from on top of all of the food. There were soft pretzels, mini corn dogs, and of course nachos! It was a pregnant girls dream come true! I must say that I think I have the greatest friends and family ever! Thanks to everyone who made the shower possible and to everyone who attended. Y'all are the best!

Kids Say the Darndest Things!

One night a while back (Feb 9, 2012 to be exact) JD was at band practice so Aubree, myself, and my mom were sitting in the living room watching our favorite show, The Voice. As one of the girls is singing Aubree tells us.....

"when I get big I gonna sing and my daddy is gonna give me hugs and he be so proud and I gonna be on TV"

My mom and I just sort of looked at one another as we processed what she had just said! We told JD a bit later and he said "we have to remember this day forever, put it in a place where we can never forget!" So here it is, in blog land forever! And if our little Aubree Michelle decides one day that she really does want to sing on TV, we all can say we knew it way back when!
