Is anyone even there anymore???????

So its been a long time since I've posted anything but it seems like sooooo much has happened since March.  To start with, Jacob turned the big 1!  He started walking right around the same time which totally made parenting exhausting!  1 mobile child and 1 stationary child was good and then 2 mobile was non-stop to say the least.  It's calmed down a little because after many twisted ankles, bruised foreheads, and busted lips, Jacob finally slowed down and became cautious when he walks.  Maybe its just a boy thing but this kid has fallen so much more than Aubree ever did!  A lot of it may also have to do with the fact that he has much more room to walk around in now that we are in our new house.  When Aubree was learning to walk, we were packed like sardines in our old house. Now Jacob can walk (and even tries to run) from one side to the total opposite side.  The openness makes him get going way too fast and so you see how the accidents just keep happening.  All things considered, we love our house.  We aren't too far North but far enough that we quite often see deer out our dining room window while eating dinner.  Its nice to be able to look outside and not see the top or back of our neighbors house too! Anyway....here are some pictures of whats been going on with us! I'll post house pictures just as soon as I take some!

His party was circus themed and we had it one week after moving
in to the new house!  It was tough but forced us to be moved in and cleaned up!
The first haircut went amazing!  Jacob actually thought it was fun.
The lollipop helped!

Aubree has decided that she loves to steal my phone and take self portraits!  I find these type of pics every so often when I look through my phone!

 Aubree's 1st recital
So I cried as soon as she started dancing!  It was one of the cutest things I had ever seen (through tears).
I wondered how she would do in front of hundreds (yes hundreds!) of people but as soon
as the music started, there was no stopping her.  She was the best in her class ; )

Happy Easter!

Late as usual but here are a couple bunny pics of the kids.  I was pleasantly surprised by the reactions from Aubree and Jacob (especially Jacob) since they have never really been around bunnies. Aubree would have kept them if I would have let her!  Jacob wanted to pick them up by the back of their necks but at least he wasn't crying!  We also had a great Easter day!  Luckily the Easter bunny was able to locate us in Yoakum and bring the kiddos their baskets.  The Easter bunny did have to leave the baskets outside on the porch swing because Aubree was very concerned and worried that he was going to come in our hotel room.  Have no fear.....mommy and daddy told her that he did not know where Regency Inn was, but that he was to just find us the next day at Granny's house instead.  ; )

We've Just Been so Busy!!!

We're still here...there are just not enough hours in the day!  We have been super busy with building the house so most, and any of our free time goes to that.  We are finally seeing the light at the end of our  building tunnel so we will hopefully be back to normal after that!  Here are a few cell phone pics of whats been going on here (real sad....I haven't even used a real camera in months!)  I will definitely be posting Easter pics with the bunnies after this weekend.

Aubree's 1st Daddy Daughter dance!  She loved it!

My little guy is getting huge!   And he is soooo darn cute!!!

Project house moving along!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Are the holidays exhausting or what?  I have never been as tired or stressed as I was this holiday season.  Not having any days off of work before Christmas didn't help at all.  Regardless, we had a great time leading up to Christmas and the day of.  It was a great first Christmas as a family of four!!
Heres what we have been up to!

Santas Wonderland!  Amazing! And FYI, if you accidentally buy carriage
ride tickets for the wrong night, they are very nice and will
still let you ride!! I wonder who did that?! Oops!  ; )

Cookie decorating at GiGi and PawPaw's

And of course, Christmas morning!  Nothing beats seeing this little girls eyes light up when she
walks into the living room!  As soon as I figure out how, I am posting the video of
when she realized that Santa ate the cookies she left.  It was great!!!
