Welcome Baby Emma!

Emma Ruth officially joined the Tompkins family on January 10th. She honestly has to be the cutest newborn I have ever seen! She looked just like a porcelain doll! Jacob and Emma will only be 3 months apart! Do I see an older woman in Jacobs future?!! ; )
Angela made a speedy recovery and both girls were out of the hospital in 2 days! They are all doing well and sounds like big sister Ava is a great help to mommy! Aubree is getting big sister pointers from Ava and I'm taking notes on how to be a mom to 2!

Weekend Getaway

Now that the holidays are over we decided to take a weekend and just have some good old family time. Aubree absolutely loves to have family time with her Mommy and Daddy! She lights up when she knows that its just gonna be us for a few days and neither of us will be going to work! We had a blast even if we were just at the hotel! Let just say there was ice cream involved for each day we were gone!

Our 3D IMAX adventure. Aubree's glasses didn't stay on for very long after this pic!
She did not care for the 3D experience!

Hole #2 Aubree makes a hole in one!
Most of the time she would put the ball about 1/4 inch from the hole and
then knock it in. She would then say "I did it, I did it" and do her happy dance!

I couldn't help but take this picture! It was so cute!
Crack on the course is only acceptable if you are 2!

Christmas Part 4

OK.....This is my final Christmas post, promise! I'm a little slower these days than usual but I was bound and determined to finish with the holidays......even if it is almost February!
Anyway, we had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was so fun and exciting for all of us now that Aubree is old enough to enjoy it all. Opening of the presents was by far the best! She LOVED every item that she opened (even if it was underwear!). We had a 3 part Christmas planned out so that we were sure to see everyone but we ended up with a change of plans last minute. Unfortunately, on Christmas Eve morning, Aubree came down with a 102 degree fever. By mid-afternoon she seemed fine so we proceeded with stop number 1 which was GiGi and PawPaw's house. We made it about half way when all of a sudden Aubree begins to throw up (in my new car of course!). JD and I are in total panic mode because this child has never thrown up in her entire life. I jump my pregnant self over the seat and proceed to hold my hands in front of her so that it gets on me and not all over her because she is already freaking out! As a side note, may I just add that I never would have imagined in a million years that I had the capability to catch throw up!!! I'm off to a good start for mom of the year huh?!! I have to redeem myself from the last few ; ) Anyway, we end up making it to the Kesners house (a little messier than we anticipated), clean up and proceed with the festivities. Aubree ends up feeling much better yet we skip our out of town trip planned for the next day. Luckily, Christmas morning she was back to her usual self and had a blast opening presents and we enjoyed every minute watching her! The excitement on the face of a 2 year old is just one of those things that can never be forgotten!

Christmas Part 3

Its just not Christmas without a picture with Santa! Hopefully next year will not be so scary for her. Poor thing! At least she sat in his lap this time.....baby steps!

Christmas Part2

Next up was cookie making. Super fun and super delish! Aubree and
Ava had a blast decorating the cookies to leave for Santa. There was icing and sprinkles everywhere but such a good time!
