OK.....This is my final Christmas post, promise! I'm a little slower these days than usual but I was bound and determined to finish with the holidays......even if it is almost February!
Anyway, we had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was so fun and exciting for all of us now that Aubree is old enough to enjoy it all. Opening of the presents was by far the best! She LOVED every item that she opened (even if it was underwear!). We had a 3 part Christmas planned out so that we were sure to see everyone but we ended up with a change of plans last minute. Unfortunately, on Christmas Eve morning, Aubree came down with a 102 degree fever. By mid-afternoon she seemed fine so we proceeded with stop number 1 which was GiGi and PawPaw's house. We made it about half way when all of a sudden Aubree begins to throw up (in my new car of course!). JD and I are in total panic mode because this child has never thrown up in her entire life. I jump my pregnant self over the seat and proceed to hold my hands in front of her so that it gets on me and not all over her because she is already freaking out! As a side note, may I just add that I never would have imagined in a million years that I had the capability to catch throw up!!! I'm off to a good start for mom of the year huh?!! I have to redeem myself from the last few ; ) Anyway, we end up making it to the Kesners house (a little messier than we anticipated), clean up and proceed with the festivities. Aubree ends up feeling much better yet we skip our out of town trip planned for the next day. Luckily, Christmas morning she was back to her usual self and had a blast opening presents and we enjoyed every minute watching her! The excitement on the face of a 2 year old is just one of those things that can never be forgotten!
